Day 22 of the advent is Ron Izalco 10 Year Old, 43% by volume. This one has a mellow aroma but with brown sugar to it. First sip is creamy with a sweet taste that coats your mouth. Day 21 is Ron Zacapa Centenario Sistema Solera 23, 40% by volume. First aroma I get is caramel and a slight sweetness. Hints of fruit and vanilla on taste. Has a burn before a crisp clean finish.

Day 20 is Saint James VSOP, 43% by volume. Has a sweet and fruity scent. First sip I get a oaky and chocolate taste to it. Crisp finish with a warmth at the end.

Advent day 19 is Worthy Park Single Estate Reserve, 45% by volume. First smell is kinda spicy to the nose. Has a creamy and slightly fruity flavor that warms up a little and then a crisp and tingle at the end.

Day 18 is Spirited Union Sweet Orange & Ginger, 38% by volume. Definitely smell the orange and ginger a mixed in that is vanilla. Not over powering. First sip you get a pleasant orange taste with the spiciness of the ginger and a creamy texture to it. It finishes crisp with a warmth at the end.

Day 17 is Equiano rum, 43% by volume. So my sense of smell may be off since I just enjoyed a good cigar, I’m getting a nuttiness or fruity. Very smooth first sip with butterscotch and fruits to it. No real burn feeling and clean aftertaste that is mellow and enjoyable.

Day 16 is Pampero Aniversario Reserva Exclusiva, 40% by volume. Has a woody smell with maybe a hint of toffee to it. First sip there is a creaminess to it with a vanilla and cocoa to it. There is a burn to it at first also but it fades fast and goes to a smooth and pleasant finish.

Day 15 is Diablesse Clementine Spiced Rum, 40% by volume. This one has a sweet and warm spice mixed with orange, very pleasant to the nose. Definitely taste the orange and spices, feel a warmth and comfortable spice. The only way I could actually describe this one is a mulled orange juice. It really is delicious.

Day 14 of the advent is Berry Bros. & Rudd Barbados The ClassicRum Range, 40.5% by volume. This one has a very mild smell to it, not really picking up on anything. Mild flavor but there is a burn with this one. Clean crisp finish at the end.

Day 13 of the advent is Ableforth’s Rumbullion! XO 15 Years Old, 46.2% by volume. This one has a subdued smell possibly vanilla and oranges? First taste is orange and cinnamon, this one made my tongue tingle some. The finish is creamy and still some tingling to my tongue.

Day 12 of the advent is Hawksbill Caribbean Spiced Rum, 38.8% by volume. This has a sweet and vanilla aroma. There is a creaminess with a hint of sweetness on first taste. Then warm spices follow shortly after to a crisp clean finish.

Day 11 is Copalli White Rum, 42% by volume. This one is fragrant, but I can’t tell what it actually smells like. Has a fruitiness to the taste with a mellow finish a slight burn at the end.
