i told my kids, and my dad today. wasnt easy. the kids handled it just fine, i think they are young enough to think that im still invinsable.

it is funny, my whole life i have spent pursuing career, and hobbies that would kill me, somehow hoping that it would, and when i actually have to face the end, all i want to do is...

Wow. I'm sitting here with a tear in my eye as I read the last few entrys in your journal. It makes me sad that most of us don't start living until we're faced with dying.

I'm really honored that you care enough about us and trust us enough to share your pain.

I'm new here, don't really know anyone yet, but I'm really awed that your's was one of the first journals I read.

I too am one of those people who hasn't given himself permission to start "living" yet. I fucking HATE that about myself!

You've given me the gift of unconsiously "kicking me in the ass" and telling me to "stop wasting your life."

Thank you for having the courage to REALLY live your life!

I'll split the gas with ya anytime!!

Oh sweetie.

You have such an awesome attitude about this. You're a very, very strong, wonderful person and I have no doubt that you can beat this. You sound like an amazing father as well. I'm always here for you. My email is notapretty_gi77@hotmail.com. Even if you do have to go off SG, try to email me or have someone email me if you don't feel well enough. My thoughts are with you.

in the mean time, while i was working out, i noticed a posterboard sign high on the wall, and it had a list of gym records for weights lifted, by the weight of the lifter, then a...

deep inside of myself, in the inner most corner of the darkest hole in my mind, i keep a box. its a sturdy casing, and i rarely open it. its locked three ways, and camoflaged to keep suspision of its existance to a minimum. inside of that box, i keep the most dear and treasured memories. the smile of my grandmother, my first kiss. a...

im starting a new novel today, and its not on spec. i submitted an outline, and it was purchased. im pretty worked up about it, even though the advance is so small it wont buy enough paper and ink cartridges to get through the final draft. i have realized that my drive for writing isnt about selling books, i have no illusions about being on...

HAPPY DAMN BIRTHDAY!!
i'm sorry no one remembered, but did they even know?
i hate it when my friends keep their birthdays secret and then 'mention' them days later. grrrr.

ok, i firmly believe that when one door closes, another one opens.
i was riding my bicycle, and i passed a guy i know, and in the course of talking, he told me about a place that was empty. and who owned it. so i approched the lady, shes about 85 years old. turns out shes anxious to have someone in the place, and she...

a pre-emptive congratulations to you! if she doesn't seem to trust you will take care of her home, you could always offer to just give it a trial week, and if she doesn't like the way you run things, then you will give the house up. maybe a suggestion.

i was buying a house, not my dream home or anything, but it was a really good deal. half way through closing, the woman selling it backs out. now i have told my present landlord he could feel free to kiss my ass. i wont be able to stay here. houses are difficult to find in my town, and i definatly dont want to live...

funny, i decided long ago that trailer is above efficiency and iffy house on my list of housing options. you could always buy a van/bus and go on a road trip. say you lost both places on purpose...freeing yourself from the man and so on. you could always find a place at may creek farms in bloomington, indiana. it's a commune i lived near when i was growing up. beautiful place, and very safe. if nothing else, consider the scene from fight club when the destruction of tyler's suite is being investigated. free yourself.

here's to you!

alia666:
*gasp* Oh honey, I'm so sorry! Zoe's commune idea sounded really cool. And if worse comes to worse, apartments in Terre Haute usually open up during the summer because the college students move out and go home. Good luck with everything and keep me posted!

all my life, i have looked to the horizon, dreamed that i was meant for something more, and thought there would be a true love. a woman who cared about me above all others.

i was wrong.
