I'm going to tell you all the story of my most recent tattoo! It's my newest and probably my new favorite, too.
Recently I went to Venice Beach, California, and I decided to commemorate the occasion with a new tattoo.
Naturally, I went with an American Traditional style tattoo (since I was in America) and what better symbol to represent that moment in time than a palm tree?
I got this tattoo done by Joe Killmeister at BuzzBomb Tattoo - Check him out on IG
My fiancée gifted me a cute pink kodak camera, so I started getting into film photography. Here's a photo I took of a palm tree:
Not only do palm trees symbolize vacations and relaxation - they also represent regeneration, immortality, and victory. All of those are things that resonate with me as of late.
Rebirth is a common occurrence in my life, I feel like every few years I evolve into a new version of myself. If you're not changing, you're not growing - that's what I always say.
Also, I need a little reminder on me to relax and take a break once in a while - channel my inner chill Venice beach vibe. My anxiety disorder makes it hard for me to relax sometimes, but if I think of the fun times I've had at the beach it helps me find some calm in the storm.
Anyways, here are some photos from my vacation:
First we've got some cheesy tourist photos with the venice beach sign:
I wanted to stop at McCharlie's while I was there, but they were closed.
After my tattoo, @photosbyespi and I rented an electric scooter thing and rode around the area to see the views. We went to grab ice cream on the boardwalk, and I even took a turn driving it despite my irrational fear of driving.
We also walked around a little and met up with our friends @amethystsage and @matsunny - it's always good to see them. I love all of the friends that I've made in California. 💖
At the end of the day, the sun set and we left Venice. But now I get to carry around that wonderful memory for the rest of my life. 🌴
Thank you for the blog homework @PENNY@MISSY & @LUST - I really had fun with this one!
