Stop perpetuating the myth that all men are bad, and all women are good. It's beneath us, quite frankly. We all have weapons that can do grievous harm. Size and upper body strength are no match for big eyes and bad intentions. Grow the fuck up. Ponder the nature of equality. There has never been such a thing, for innies OR outies.

True, but that doesn’t mean we can’t listen, learn, grow & be better. Women already know that not every man is a rapist, or a murderer, or violent. They don’t need us to tell them. When we’re defensive & using the old “not all men” defense, we’re not listening to the other person, we’re busy thinking of ways to defend ourselves. It doesn’t further the discussion, it sidetracks it. The discussion isn’t about the men that aren’t a problem. The discussion is about the fact that when a woman is walking down the street, or on a 1st date, or in an elevator alone, she doesn’t know what group I’m in. I could be the greatest guy ever (& know it in my own mind), but there’s no way for her to know that. That is the reality that women deal with all the time. At the end of the day I’m an old white guy, I’ll never truly understand what women go through. I can’t. So I listen to what women say about it, try to understand as best I can, and try to modify my own behavior as needed to make things better. “Do the best you can until you know better. I don't at all disagree with your rationale, @skisby , nor am I trying to minimize the plight of women. My unyielding point is that I'm sick and tired of woke culture telling everyone that men are essentially abusive animals. I've been hearing this crap my whole life, starting with the Sensitive Man thing in the '80s, that was counterproductive to its own purpose. Much like anyone seriously answering the question, "Would you rather spend time with a strange man or a bear?". Good luck with the bear. The irrationality of the question erases the validity of any answer. The fact of the matter is that only bad men ever get any attention. As usual. We good men do not, in fact, have to do better. We would already step in front of a train for the people we care about. Life asks enough of us. All we really need to do is start crippling the bad ones. Because they don't listen to reason anyway. Thanks for the meaningful dialogue, by the way. Quite refreshing.
