I am so very excited for this upcoming Holiday. I am traveling to Europe for the first time. We're going to hit Cambridge, and then pop over to Berlin, train down to Prague, and then head back to London. I am going to do very touristy things, and eat so much food, and probably freeze my butt off walking outside taking pictures of everything. But it's going to be amazing!
This is my first self-funded vacation out of the country. Really it's my first vacation as an adult. And I can't really afford it, not really, but I'm going anyway. You only live once, and you only get so many chances.
I'm using AirBNB for Berlin. I've never done it before, so hopefully the flat works out. Does anyone have any guest tips other than be courteous and clean up after yourself?
Work has be ridiculous these last few weeks. We soft-launched our company website this week, so I've been working weekends trying to get it ready. I haven't had time to dye my hair in more than a month until today. More blue!
My work had a cocktail class one evening, so I learned out to make a couple, easy, delicious cocktails.
And I got paid for things! I did a freelance website, and got a check from hitRECord recently, which are about the only things that have made it possible to take this trip. I am not rolling in the money.
I got to see my family for Thanksgiving, which I didn't think I was going to this year, so that was awesome. Thank goodness for airplane vouchers/miles.
So what are your holiday plans? Doing anything fun, or just chilling out? Is the winter holidays a big deal in your family? They're not in mine, we haven't done Christmas since my brother hit his teen years.
