Happy Holidays! Hope you’re all having an enjoyable December so far. I’ve definitely been keeping myself busy with interviews, work, and shoots. I’m so excited that my second set, “Sweater Weather”, is doing well and the feedback has been so wonderful, empowering, and supportive. Thank you so much for all of the love and I can’t wait for you to see more of my work!...

first of all, congratulations on going Pink! second of all-- cute kittens!! third - i love your work with the camera (sorry, I'm a cat person, so that got precedence)... and most importantly, I am an experienced rigger (shibari rope person)... there are three types of Shibari in my mind: decorative, predicament, and bondage.  In the first style NOTHING should turn blue that isn't already that color (i.e. your hair), in the second style, maybe a little purple or blue in the hands or feet but you ARE taking a risk of harming yourself--worst case is that the nerves in your arms get pinched and you get permanent 'tennis elbow' or lose feeling/use in your hands.  that is worst case and means you've been bound for hours not minutes.. Third style: you want the pain and the risk of injury because you're wired that way, and have made an informed choice about how you get your kicks.  Such people are rare, though I have worked with a few.  Most stop at predicament (for example, you are tied so that you are off balance and have to wobble on one foot) rather than go to pain/constriction.  I do a lot of talking with a new sub if she asks for the third style...   // there is a little book out there on shibari first aid which is a useful guide -- placing the ropes an inch different on your upper arm can make a huge difference in your safety comfort -- so be smart and get informed.  it's like sex: it can be fun, it can change your life, and it can kill you if you're not smart.
