QUESTIONS FROM MEMBERS FOR @starry :
@JOHNNYDISCARD asked Which is your favorite Final Fantasy?
Ironically, as I’m answering this, I’m watching the trailer for FFVII Rebirth… though I actually haven’t yet played FFVII yet! I plan to finally play it this year, because it’s such an iconic game and looks incredible!
Because I took a long hiatus from gaming to focus on my degree a long time ago, I’ve only recently started getting back into gaming! Before then, I had only played FFV Advance, and most of FFX. I’d also just bought FFXIII prior to university, but never had a chance to start it. And if you count them as FF games, I’ve beat both Kingdom Hearts I and II. Recently though, I finally beat FFX and began FFX-2!
It’s so hard to choose a favorite FF, given I haven’t played near enough of the series! Hopefully this year I can delve into more of the games in the series, as they’re fantastic. I would have to say though (from my limited perspective) that I looved FFX, and if the Kingdom Hearts series is included in FF games, I absolutely adored KH1 as well. The plots of both were fantastic, along with the character designs, the music, the battles (despite combat differing in both games). On a side note, FFX also definitely motivates me to cosplay again - I’d love to cosplay Yuna or to make a Lulu cosplay!

@DAISIRAW asked What is your reason behind wanting to be an SG?
~
@SORCERER333 asked Do you have any favourite members, model, photographer, or otherwise?
Absolutely! There are SO many talented and inspirational individuals on SG. It’s really hard to list everyone, so forgive me if I have to keep this shorter than I’d like (ie. I could write a few pages, haha).

My all-time favorite photographers would have to be @andrea_arcore, @r_girardi, and @natalia_randle. But I also have a list of other photogs I love… @minuminula, @thimeow, @babu, @fishball, @evee,l @mimo, @penny, @writeboy, @sobelle, @saria, @lady, @zen, @tripodski, @shane, @elune, @akril @floydian.

@jadestone asked What would you like to do when you visit here in St. Louis? Who would your top 3 photographers be if you could shoot a set with them?
I've actually never thought specifically about traveling to St. Louis outside of wanting to see you there, and so I'd probably want to first check out the cool places you might recommend. Followed by places like the local botanical gardens, the Sophia Sachs Butterfly house, any local nerdy/gaming stores, some shopping in general. I'd really like to learn to shoot guns, and to explore! I'm hoping that there's some interesting nature of some sort too, and look forward to enjoying it. It would also be super exciting to have an SG set shot by you, and to try and meet other local girls from our community!
Absolutely @andrea_arcore, @r_girardi, and I think that a shoot with @penny would turn out incredibly.
~
@Moonsmasher asked If you're trapped on an island, what 5 things would you bring?
1) A good multitool with a solid knife or military grade knife, 2) My favorite dollar store super glue, 3) Some sort of fire-starter (ie. a fire-steel), 4) Antibiotics, 5) A fishing kit
~
@TGBOBAFETT77 asked Did you name yourself after the new Pepsi drink or did they change the name of Sierra Mist to Starry because of you?
I’m just so iconic that Pepsi was inspired and needed to have a drink with my name that’s just as sweet & bubbly as I am ;)
~
@FREDHINCANADA asked What is your favourite obscure science fact?
~
@SCORPIONTIM87 asked What inspired you to want to become a suicide girl?
Seeing the @blackheartbiurlesquee in person and being inspired by all the SG babes, especially @sunny! That was definitely the final push of inspiration for me.
~
@SDAWG74 asked What's your favorite constellation? / star? (I think you ought to be pinked too)
My favorite star is definitely... @star 😘 And my favorite constellation is Cassiopeia (the "W" constellation).
~
@boots asked You mentioned on lives you’d like to do a multi w/ @ASLOKE as a hopeful & @JADESTONE as a SG. (1. If you had a chance to do both, what country would you shoot in & where, maybe outdoors in the wild under the stars? (2. What would the theme be? (3. What do you 🩷 about these models in particular? (4. What’s your favorite 🩷 when doing lives?
I would more than happily shoot with either of them anywhere, in any country, but it might be nice to have the opportunity for all of us to be travelling somewhere new for a shootfest and to shoot somewhere that's new to both of us! I can't speak for location yet either, but I think shooting some nerdy/cosplay sets with either of them might be fun. Jade was suggesting something like DnD recently for a multi...I know though that given the chance, the perfect theme would come along. I also think that Shooting Under the Stars might be a fun set name - though I think we'd all end up being under each other at some point ;) I love these women because not only are they absolutely total smokeshows, but they also are such fascinating and smart women! Not to mention very driven, supportive, and strong. I really value and respect that.
Lastly, my favorite thing when doing lives streams is genuinely just all of us being able to hangout, joke around, and enjoy each others company, silliness, etc., while I get to dress up all spicy and do whatever I feel inspired to on any given stream! We've read novels together, showered, danced, built a bed frame, done yoga, celebrated birthdays (covered in glitter lol), duo streamed with our favorite @rainedemure... I love being able to do pretty much anything, and we always have a fun & spicy time. I'm so happy and thankful for the incredible group of friends I've made through streaming. You all make lives such a wonderful time in general!
~
@KINGOFCOOL asked Where in the world would you like to shoot a set?
Definitely a tropical beach somewhere, like in Mexico. Or in Italy, or LA one day!
~
@ERISSA asked What is the first thing you'd do as an official SG if and when you go Pink?
First of all, I'd take an entire day to relax, nap, process that IT FINALLY HAPPENED 💖💖💖, and start seriously planning some of the actual travel adventures I want to go on to see some of my incredible girl friends in the SG community. Hopefully @rainedemure and I could go pink around a similar time so that we could roadtrip together! I know we would definitely want to go visit and shoot a multi with @jadstone in Missouri on our trip! I'm certain there'd be lots of other destinations we'd want to stop along the way as well. There are so many amazing people I've met through SG, and I totally want to shoot all the multis with my Pink girlfriends! 💖
~
@ADAM_BOVARY asked If you could only watch one movie, what would it be?
This question has been the hardest one yet... I'm actually not sure! It would be obviously much easier to pick a show (I'd choose something excessively long like Supernatural, haha). But the first movie that comes to mind is something like Howl's Moving Castle or Spirited Away.
~
@CPMOWER831 asked How did you get to be so awesome? Is it genetic?
I do my best to try and be the best version of myself every day. I have my own personal goals and dreams I'm always working towards, and in addition of course, I always try to be as me as possible. My goal is to always be a safe space for others, and to be uplifting and straightforward. I'm just thankful that you and the community have always been so supportive of me being me. It's so wonderful to be a part of this community, meet so many similar, and diverse people, and to be able to just be me!
~
@SAMIHAIN askedWhich of your tattoos is your favorite and why?
I’m the type of person where I tend to plan for tattoos AGES in advance (minus my lil heart ghostie on my shoulder - but even then that impulse choice and ), and so they tend to all have a lot of meaning to me. My tattoos all represent different aspects of my life, my passions, and my heart. I definitely can’t choose a favorite. I love all my tattoos so much!
~
@SCOTTZILLA67 asked What is your ideal vacation spot?
I’d really love to go to Japan next year or back to Belize! I also went to Puerto Vallarta last year and would love to go back for vacation round 2!
~
@MJC1225 asked What is the best thing you like about the SG community?
Definitely the wonderful and diverse people I’ve met through this community. It always astounds me how the site brings together so many different people from all over the world!
~
@WARRIOR311 asked Do you have any hobbies and which are you passionate about?
I absolutely adore learning about immunology and infectious disease and the science behind immune dysregulatory diseases (ie. primary/genetic, infectious, acquired, etc.). I'm a huge science nerd truthfully. I also love art.
~
@GYIDGETTE asked Who are your top three hopefuls that you want to do a set with?
I'm choosing FIVE because it's actually so hard to narrow girls down! I’d absolutely love to shoot sets with @helainked, @cheshire_, @erissa, @orbitt, and/or @asloke.
~
@INKEDODIE asked What is your favorite memory? Is it happy? A proud achievement? A comforting place?
~
@VITO6X asked Favorite Star Wars movie?
I actually really liked the third movie, but I haven’t actually seen all of the Star Wars movies yet so I definitely need to finish all of them to decide. I definitely will try to finally finish them all this year!
That being said, since I'm unsure of my favorite Starwars movie, my favorite CHARACTER is Grievous… I love how he lightsaber battles with not just two, but four arms. I think his design is absolutely badass. Also note that he's my favorite solely based on his character design.
~
@SNAKEPIT1963 asked What your favorite type of lingerie to model in? (Such as Chemise, corsets, teddies, bra and panties set, garters)
I honestly really love modeling anything, especially in situations where the shoot is unique and a new experience! I don’t necessarily have a favorite type of lingerie to model in, but definitely anything that looks really cute while also being super flattering! That being said, I’d say my least favorite thing to model would be any sort of really stiff and restricting corset, though I’d still be more than happy to rock whatever cute lingerie to accomplish my or the photographer’s intended artistic vision. I also really love wearing lace pieces, especially black lace, though I want to switch up my typical black lace lingerie looks and try to add more color. Definitely comment below if there are any specific types of lingerie or colors you’d like to see more of me in!
~
@DEADGUITARIST asked How's your education progressing? Did you graduate? Post-graduate studies?
Because of my health, I had to stop my degree and my research unfortunately. It was really difficult, but I hope to go back one day to finish my Masters and to go back to research, or helping patients in the primary immune dysregulatory disease community somehow. This year I’d like to get back into volunteering at least, and was hoping to start volunteering at the university hospital to help me get accustomed to being back around the medical/science community. I also was hoping to attend some interesting medical lectures on campus… slow, but steady steps. I’m definitely planning on going back to school though.
~
How were you first introduced to SuicideGirls?
I have no idea where I heard about SuicideGirls first, but back in high school I remember hearing about the site at some point, and specifically adoring @chad. I remember thinking so highly of her and the girls. I was an edgy teen (as many of us here were), and fell in love with the idea of a site showing off the beauty of so many different alternative women. Then, my best friend and I started attending the @blackheartburlesque, I think back in 2014? We went for two years in a row, and just fell in love. The second year we went, I ended up getting hoisted up on stage to dance with girls like @sunny @liryc and @mahnee at the end of the show by a big, tough-looking tattooed guy named Alex. He ended up being a photographer, and at the end of the show recruited me! We shot my debut set, and the rest is history!
~
Where do you find inspiration?
I find inspiration randomly around me at any given time. I find it when I’m out adventuring, thinking, or often from my friends on and offline. I’m a very creative person and my thought process can be a bit chaotic (in a fun way usually!), and I’m a very spontaneous person! For example, I have one set in queue called Labyrinth (shot by @aurralee), and I remember one day just deciding that I needed to shoot a mystical, magical fantasy set, and that I wanted to be wearing satyr horns… AND that I wanted to do it in the Canadian winter in the snow. Or, I shot another set awhile ago with @sirenerouge called Excalibur (I’m hoping to submit it to the queue very soon), where I suddenly at some point decided I needed to shoot a set where I cut my clothes off with a real sword! I hope you see where I’m getting at regarding my spontaneity, haha. I find inspiration from so many things around me, and truly feel so lucky for that.
~
What impact has your culture / identity had on your modeling journey?
I’ve always felt different and never really fit in with the majority of “normal” people. I dress how I want, have always done the things I’ve wanted to do, etc., and those things have often been very different from the norm or what has been expected of me by the people around me, including friends and family. Becoming a model at first was just a fun, silly thing that I tried in high school, half as a joke, half because I wanted to feel beautiful… I suppose like I belonged and had value, as I didn’t fit in. I had a lot of insecurities and always felt like a bit of an outcast. I ended up really loving it, though I didn’t seriously start modelling until university after I shot my debut SuicideGirls set! Now, I thrive in my uniqueness, my eccentricity, and I’ve realized that what set me apart is what truly makes me beautiful, and what makes me, well… me!
~
What part of your beauty routine makes you feel most confident?
Definitely when I’m almost done my makeup, and finally put on my glitter and false lashes! I absolutely love wearing glitter freckles… so basically fake freckles, but with beautiful, fun glitter!
~
What is your favorite form of self expression?
I love all sorts of art to express myself. I’m the type of person, because of my spontaneity, that constantly loves to try new things! I love to cosplay and make cosplay props (ie. I’ve made things like my Neliel tu/Bleach cosplay from scratch, including her skull mask, a massive Harley Quinn hammer for my bestie, sewn a Lucy Heartfilia/Fairy Tail cosplay, Star’s wand/headband/purse from Star vs the Forces of Evil, etc.), paint/draw (I looove acrylic painting and doing digital art and recently started learning to watercolour paint), I picked up making macrame purses last year, and so many other forms of art that I’m definitely forgetting. I also absolutely love music and expressing myself through singing - I even taught myself to play some acoustic guitar last year! And of course, probably my greatest form of self expression is how I look and the photos I take while modelling - I love to put my personality into my photos, especially my photosets on SuicideGirls! I love to show my passion and love for immunology, as you can see in my set Study Break (shot by @mdt). I express my love for gymnastics/competitive cheerleading/contortion in Study Break, Labyrinth, and Kitten Play (shot by @Just_Sick), where I’ve tried some of my most fun, flexible poses to add some extra spice to the sets - the photos where I’m doing bendy contortionist poses are some of my favorite photos of myself! And of course, I express my spontaneity and creativity in the subject matter, like how I decided to shoot as a fantasy character in the snow or cut off my clothes with a real sword in Labyrinth and Excalibur - which I am so beyond excited to share!
~
What is your favorite form of self-care OR what is your self-care routine?
One of my most recent favourite forms of self care is getting my nails done every month. Having sparkly claws makes me feel so bougie and fancy! I also love having what I consider to be “soul cleansing” showers once a week, haha. So basically, the most excessively long showers where I sing, exfoliate my whole body and shave absolutely everything, wash my hair, and just bask in the warm water. Then get out, cover my entire self in yummy smelling lotion (if you’re curious, I love to smell like citrus, vanilla, bergamot, and a lil’ bit of spicy musk), bundle up, and watch whatever I’m binging at the time - right now, that happens to be Supernatural, and I’m on season 11. I love it so much and am sad to be done soon! Sometimes I’ll do a face and foot mask, paint my nails, etc.! It just feels so refreshing to be clean, soft, and smell like my favorite things! I also love to practice self care by just cleaning my home and singing, or singing while I’m walking alone outside. If you’re ever visiting Alberta and hear a girl wandering around singing Disney, Mariana’s Trench, Lana del Ray, and Emarosa, that’s probably me!
~
What impact has SG had in discovering yourself as a person and a model?
This will definitely be a long answer for me, as I would absolutely not be who I am today without SuicideGirls. It’s a community where I’ve met so many women and men who have finally been people who make me feel like I belong. And not only have I felt like I belonged, but I’ve thrived and evolved. The people around me in my previous day-to-day life did inspire me in many ways, but I definitely would not have embraced my own uniqueness the way I have without the community here. It has truly helped me be myself and stand out like I was meant to. Because of SuicideGirls, I’ve tried so many things I never would have before. I’ve been part of a music video, been body painted, modelled nude and then eventually done other… less nude modelling, haha. I’ve met so many women who have inspired me to look how I truly want, which is covered in glitter, and art. And something more serious - modelling for SuicideGirls has helped immensely with my body dysmorphia and toxic view of myself. Because of trauma in the past and always feeling like an outcast, there have been many times I have struggled to love many aspects of myself and my personality. But sharing myself and my life on here has helped me tackle that. At first, it was struggling with my body image, and shooting sets, especially my debut with @just_sick, made me feel gorgeous and sexy. All parts of me. And going into posting my sets and posting on social media I always thought that people might think I’m attractive and that would be it, but I learned that people do love who I am. My personality, my quirks, my spontaneity, my eccentricity, my weirdness. It was something I never expected, as I’ve always been incredibly hard on myself. Upon my many experiences with people involved with the site, I have also learned who I am, what I stand for, who I want to be, and who I refuse to ever be. I will always be a safe space for others, a positive and loving person, my silly self trying to make others smile and be empathetic to all, supportive of all those around me who support me, and someone who tries to eternally be a ray of light on even the hardest days. I will always be someone who tries to learn and grow. This community has truly helped me to find love for myself and to grow so much, not only as a model, but as a person.

Share a memorable experience from your point of view as an alternative model in your community
I absolutely can’t name just one, but honestly just meeting the amazing women that are part of this community as well as incredible photographers have been my most memorable experiences. I have made so many amazing friends! Lately I’m also very excited because while I was visiting Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, I tried to learn as much Spanish as I could in six days. Thankfully, I took French for nine years, as well as Japanese for several, so learning Spanish was a bit easier! But because many women on the site speak Spanish, I have been very excited to try and practice/learn more Spanish and meet even more babes!
~
Is there anything else you want to share about your community?
I just want to say thank you to the SuicideGirls community for so much! You all make me feel so honoured and grateful every day to be part of such an inclusive, inspiring, and wonderful community. Without you, I wouldn’t be the Star(ry) I am today, and for that, my heart is filled with love! ⭐️♥️
